Time to get serious!  Application essays can be tough; however, with the correct preparation it doesn't have to be! Join us for our FLEX CLASS:  PERSONAL COLLEGE ESSAYS & MORE!

Common Applications. Supplemental Applications. The Unusual Question. This can be intimidating!  Few pieces of writing are more important that the admissions essay; yet, students often sit down and are frustrated by the writing prompts they are faced with.  Some of these prompts include:

  • What's your biggest failure?
  • What are you goals and aspirations?
  • Where's Waldo?
  • What's the kindest thing you've ever done for someone?
  • Why are odd numbers so odd?
  • Find X.
  • Write 150 words. Take a risk.

These very real essay prompts have caused hours of writers' block and nail biting for many college applicants and hours of irritation between parent and student.

During this FLEX CLASS, the students will explore FOUR modules and have TWO personal meetings with the instructor!

  • Class One - Writing a Personal Essay
  • Class Two - The Common Application Essay
  • Personal Meeting with Instructor
  • Class Three - The Supplemental Essays
  • Class Four - The Unusual Question Essay
  • Personal Meeting with Instructor

Through the modules and videos as well as personal meetings with the instructor, the students will learn, analyze, discuss, and decide the best route in how to write a college personal essay.   Within the course of the Flex Class, the students will write four essays that will give them a huge jump start (solid rough drafts) for their actual college essays.

This class is advised for rising 10th, rising 11th and rising 12th graders; however, students as young as 8thgrade can join ESPECIALLY if they are applying to a private or competitive high school.
