Ryan Rasar holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as well as received his educator training and a Certificate in Education from Educator’s of Excellence in Austin, Texas. Both of these led to Ryan’s nearly 10- years of teaching experience in the areas of science, technology and special education. He currently holds active teaching licenses in the states of Nevada and Texas with endorsements in middle and high school science, grades 4-8 all subjects, and grades EC-12 special education.

Before going into teaching, Ryan was a professional in the field of landscape architecture and site planning. His teaching experiences ranges as a public-school educator in traditional brick and mortar schools to online charter schools as well as online homeschooling consortiums.

Ryan is no stranger to the world of homeschooling and alternative education as his 11-year old son is a homeschool/online school student. The unique advantages, challenges, and benefits that homeschooling/online schooling can have for students are all recognized by Ryan. As an advocate of school choice, Ryan believes that students need help and encouragement from mentors, teachers, parents, family and friends to develop their unique talents. Many of these skills and talents are often not afforded in a traditional school setting.

On the weekends you'll find Ryan on a golf course, relaxing with his family, or cheering for the Seattle Seahawks during the NFL season.
