Selena Robinson has been working with the deaf community for over 20 years. She completed an intensive education in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies while still in her teens and went to work as a volunteer and educational interpreter after graduating college. As a non-profit deaf educator, Selena is passionate about teaching American Sign Language to the public and helping people to become conversational so that they can communicate with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community with respect and understanding.
Selena is a homeschooling graduate and is homeschooling her own four children; therefore, she is thrilled to be teaching ASL via Open Tent Academy to homeschoolers! It's her intention to make learning sign language a fun, interactive experience that will motivate a new generation of deaf community workers.
