Thursday, October 7 2021 @ 11:00AM - Thursday, March 24 2022 @ 12:30PM EDT| $400.00
In this drama class for the younger student, we’ll be covering fundamental dramatic concepts with lots of focus on improvisation. Classes will be filled with fun games, activities, and lots of laughter! We’ll discuss topics like vocal projection, how to get into character, behind-the-scenes set-up (like sets, props, lighting, music, costumes, etc.), how to utilize the stage and props, how to improvise, how to deal with stage fright, how to memorize lines, and a bunch more.
Each lesson will focus on a different topic and will include a lecture & discussion portion followed by multiple games and activities to reinforce the lesson we learned that week.
Students will walk away knowing more about the basics of drama, feeling more comfortable on stage, and being able to improvise and act better.
This class has no mandatory homework (though occasionally there will be optional homework).
Registration deadline is September 15, 2021.
There must be a minimum of 5 students to run this class.
