The food we eat is chock-full of chemistry, biology, and other scientific concepts. We will use a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to explore the chemical composition of the food we eat.
Instructional strategies include modeling exercises, laboratory experiments, virtual labs, projects and problem-solving exercises.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate specific knowledge about food biochemistry
- Explain the science behind multiple cooking modalities
Registration deadline is March 1, 2022.
There must be a minimum of 5 students to run this class.
