What do you call a musician petrified by Medusa? A rockstar.
Who did Artemis invite to her birthday party? Her nearest and deer-est friends.
Ok – so maybe these jokes are corny; however, there will be nothing corny about class!
Together, we are going to learn about and exploring Greek Mythology using D’Aulaires’ Book of Greek Myths.
In this class, we will cover both major and minor Greek gods and goddesses. Students will learn about their origin stories, characteristics, and adventures. Students will also learn about how the Romans absorbed the Greek pantheon and then made it their own.
The class will be a combination of reading comprehension, discussion, lecture and a final project.
Students can expect one hour of homework weekly.
NOTE:
Registration deadline is December 15, 2021.
There must be a minimum of 5 students to run this class.
