Mad Scientists – Part Two – Grades K – 2 – Winter A 2022 – Five Weeks
Thursday, January 13 2022 @ 10:00AM - Thursday, February 10 2022 @ 11:00AM EST| $85.00
Please note that this class has DIFFERENT topics than Fall B’s Mad Scientists.
Experience the wondrous world of science through fun hands-on science experiments and activities. Topics will vary each session. We will explore our topic through engaging books, videos, songs, class discussions, and best of all through hands-on learning! Our young scientists will be introduced to the scientific method by asking questions, making predictions, completing experiments and activities, recording results, and comparing results. This will be an exciting hands-on class with materials that you mostly have around the house, so dive in and explore your inner scientist while having lots of fun!
Participation in the experiments and activities is encouraged, but not necessary – learners may simply watch the teacher do a live demonstration, although participating will absolutely make this more exciting. Experiments and activities are safe and do not involve heat or an open flame!
Students do NOT need to take Part One to participate in Part Two. Each class is completely independent of one another.
- Making Ice Grow
- Volcano Eruption
- STEM Structure Challenge (Earthquakes)
- Hurricane in a bowl
- STEM Structure Challenge (Hurricane Winds)
