Every president is a human being.  Some presidents made good choices. Some presidents made not so good choices.  And, finally, other presidents had their hands tied.  As citizens of the United States, we truly never know what goes on behind the Oval Office doors.  Together, we will take a look at the person history of our 45 presidents.

Each class will consist of a personal history of the man, their education, career, triumphs, failures and impacts.

The goal of this class is for the students to have a better understanding of the diverse leadership that our country has had including their background, achievements and even scandals.  As this class touches on political issues, each student is expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful and polite.  It is absolutely ok to disagree with another student’s view or even the instructor’s view – however, we have to agree to disagree politely and with respect.

This class will be made up of readings, videos, PDFs, and lecture.

A large part of the class will be discussions, in which no matter our personal feelings to another human (teacher, classmate or the president) we need to be respectful of him or her as a human being.

When the twenty-week class is done to have a working understanding of how the decisions made behind closed doors can impact history.

Students can expect less than two hours of homework weekly.

NOTE: Registration deadline is August 15, 2022.

There must be a minimum of 5 students to run this class.
