Are you a Florida resident?
If so, Open Tent Academy is very happy to announce that we are now a provider (in partnership with Step Up for Students) of services for recipients of the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) – formerly known as the Gardiner scholarship. This program allows families of qualified children (including homeschoolers) to be reimbursed for qualified expenses, including live, online instruction.
For more information on the FES-UA, including specific criteria for eligibility and their application process and timeline, please visit the Step Up for Students website at http://www.sufs.org, or contact them directly at 1-877-735-7837.
If you are a current recipient of FES-UA funding and have questions about how to file reimbursement requests, please email Jonathan directly via at: jonathan@opententacademy.com
In addition, homeschooling parents who are now eligible to receive FES-EO/FTC funding as part of a parent-directed Personalized Education Program (PEP) may apply for reimbursement as well. For more information on how to apply for these programs, please contact Step Up For Students directly.
PLEASE NOTE: Parents using any Step Up / FES funds still need to register and pay for our classes on the Open Tent Academy website. Open Tent Academy will then send you, within seven (7) business days, an itemized receipt (this is in addition to the automated one generated upon completing your order) with detailed registration information. This should then be submitted to Step Up For Students (via their website portal) for reimbursement.
You will also receive (following order processing) a separate welcome email from Open Tent Academy (please check your spam / junk folders) which will contain the information you need in order to access our LMS and virtual classroom systems.
