Shayna Hume graduated from the University of Miami in 2018 with her B.S. in aerospace engineering, but originally hails from Metro D.C. where she was homeschooled and then attended Thomas Jefferson High School of Science and Technology in Alexandria, VA.

She’s been a tutor since high school, and has taught individuals and online classrooms many times before. Now, while she is working on her Ph.D. at the University of Colorado (Boulder), she’s opening up summer boot camps to help students conquer their fears of the SAT in 10 short weeks.

While her courses are going to be an intensive to improve students’ scores, no prior experience studying for the SAT is needed and Shayna loves working with students at all levels. Shayna has the SAT scores to boast for teaching this kind of course, and it’s her goal to make sure that students gain skills out of these courses that will take them far beyond standardized testing.
